University Health - Truman: Environmental Services Laundry and Linen Tech (Full Time 3:00pm - 11:30pm) 101 Truman Medical Center Job LocationUniversity Health Truman Medical Center Kansas City, Missouri Department Laundry Linen Position Type Full time Work Schedule 7:00AM - 3:30PM Hours Per Week 40 Job Description This is varied unskilled and semiskilled work in the hospital laundry. Work involves the operation of laundry equipment such as washers and dryers. Workers in this class may be responsible for weighing, counting, and marking clothes; shaking, feeding and folding linen; or collecting soiled linens from institutional wards and delivering clean linens. Work is specifically assigned by the senior linen/laundry associate. Minimum Requirements Some experience in a commercial or institutional laundry or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to speak and read the English language Ability to relate well to patients and co-workers. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Ability to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner. Preferred High school diploma or GED preferred.
