Production Systems Course Topics -

The course will provide insight into designing and elements of executing a production system for diverse product sets. It will integrate a model-based approach through an Industry 4.0 lens into the production system elements. We will go over principles, method, and toolsets used in a multidisciplinary design of all aspects of a production system from design of a product to the delivery and sustainment of a product. Examples include a logistics system interacting with a manufacturing system, both interconnected with an information system, all converging on a physical site or facility that was designed to operate cooperatively to manufacture an end-product. You will be able to decompose the product and design intention to ensure manufacturing efficiency and producibility and drive results into the production system design. We will also examine the Digital Twin and Digital Thread concepts and how it relates to the production system and how to optimize the build process using those methodologies.

Applications should include a letter of application and the latest CV.
