Project Duration: 24 months

The Stores and Distribution Supervisor is responsible for oversight and management of daily Supply Chain operations to ensure Supply Chain standard operating procedures for the purchase, receipt, issue, inventory, replenishment and storage of supplies and equipment. Oversee Warehouse and extended campus planning of procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics and distribution, ensuring effectively functioning processes to avoid impacts on patient care. Applies an in-depth understanding of Supply Chain concepts, operations, and analytics to solve new and complex problems and develops innovative strategies. Leads staff to execute daily operations and implement the tools and strategies required to execute and continually improve processes. Partners with clinical team to optimize supply chain operations and supply expenses.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
A.A. (Required)
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Minimum Work Experience
4 years Related and progressive experience in Warehouse, Procurement or Supply Chain operations activity. (Required)
3 years Related and progressive experience in Supply Chain distribution in health care environment. (Preferred)

Ability to meet the physical demand requirements associated with supply handling in accordance with Supply Chain standard operating procedures.
Ability to analyze data to inform and execute actionable decisions
Ability to effectively oversee and manage a high performing team
Demonstrates teamwork/cooperation in providing services to direct/indirect customers
Ability to maintain clear communication with staff, departmental management, clinical staff and end users

Functional Accountabilities
Supply Replenishment and Procurement



  • Oversee daily operations to ensure Supply Chain standard operating procedures for supply replenishment across extended campus clinical areas.


  • Oversee planning of procurement to ensure all orders are compliant with controls including minimums, reorder frequency, lead times and order changes. Initiate and implement corrective action as needed.


  • Oversee adequate and accurate supply levels at all times to meet the anticipated demand of clinical staff and end users. Respond to changes in supply demand patterns.


  • Demonstrates understanding of supplier market and align purchasing patterns with clinical demand.


  • Manage and communicates supply disruptions with clinical end users, Supply Chain team, and Department leadership.


Inventory



  • Oversee daily operations to ensure Supply Chain standard operating procedures for Warehouse inventory distribution, management, and control.


  • Responsible for the accuracy of inventory and inventory information within Supply Chain Management systems.


  • Oversee supply conversions, discontinuations, inventory adjustments, and periodic reviews of PAR levels based on analytics and forecasting.


  • Maintain a safe, organized and clean working environment in all Supply Chain distribution areas.


  • Troubleshoot and rectify issues related to fulfillment of orders, inventory, and daily operations.


Analytics



  • Daily review of operational metrics to ensure operational performance and efficiency of all staff members.


  • Utilize dashboards and data to forecast, analyze, and predict supply disruptions, supply improvements and operational improvements.


  • Utilize and analyze data to partner and communicate with clinical teams to optimize supply operations and expenses.


  • Implement and sustain innovative operational improvements within Supply Chain areas.


  • Ensure data accuracy within Supply Chain systems and dashboards.


Leadership



  • In collaboration with Manager, hires, trains, develops and directs assigned staff to meet departmental objectives


  • Lead and assist staff to meet productivity work standards while demonstrating competency in job skills and knowledge by completing scheduled work in allotted timeframe.


  • Ensure staff meet quality assurance standards in accordance with Supply Chain operating procedures.


  • Provide clear and visible team goals and priorities, manage achievement and provide timely feedback.


  • Lead, facilitate and/or participate actively on assigned project teams


Communication & Customer Service



  • Maintain clear communication between staff, clinical end users and Supply Chain Distribution team.


  • Partner with clinical teams to troubleshoot and communicate areas of improvement to optimize supply chain operations and supply expenses.


  • Communicate all supply interruptions including stock outs, backorders and substitutes to staff, clinical end users and departmental management.


  • Performs other responsibilities as requested by Manager or Department Head
