Vendor Loaner Coordinator - Sterile Processing- Days

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Vendor Loaner Coordinator
  • Location: Arlington Heights IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Bonus: 2K Sign On Bonus

What you will do:

48 Hours Before Daily Monitoring of Casecheck

  • Vendor Manager will review what should be arriving within 48 hours Manager will contact the vendor for any items in red and input notes directly into casecheck. Manager will communicate to SPD team including SOS should there be any impact to cases.

Day Prior

  • Vendor Manager will review next Day's venfor trays to ensure everything has arrived. Vendor Manager will attend daily huddle and provide update of trays that are currently on site as well as a status report of when trays are expected to arrive. Vendor Manager will input notes directly into casecheck.

Day of Cases

  • Vendor Manager will verify everything is green and sterilized and ready for cases. Vendor Manager will input notes directly to casecheck.

Vendor Managers will also:

  • Contact vendors after 48 hours from case to remove trays from facility
  • Work closely with Instrument Coordinator on any new consignment trays, or any new trays that are in need of education in-service training (ensure correct IFU's, trays are not overweight and vendor knows casecheck process)
  • Partner with Instrument Coordinator on any non-conforming trays both Loaner and Consignment Review both casecheck and vendor policies were followed
  • Review both bi-weekly reports and monthly casecheck reports to review any trends related to non-compliance including updated pictures, tray weights, parameters, instruments, rep-created information, 48-hour non compliances. Contract casecheck team as needed.
  • Partner with OR and SPD to identify and reduce number of unused trays
  • Identify which trays would be good candidates for consignment and transition of loaner status
  • Build Count Sheets as needed
  • Monitor and address any quality issues specific to loaner and consignment trays

What you will need:

  • Education: High school Diploma or GED required
  • Certification: Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (previously known as IAHCMM) upon hire.
  • Experience: Three (3) years' experience in SPD Certified Endoscope Reprocessing Certification Preferred
  • Skills: Proficiency in Outlook Required
