General Information:
Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment including: Operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods. Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products. Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis An Entry Para-Professional (S1) is an entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience. Work is routine or follows standard procedures. Work is closely supervised. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Makes sub-assemblies and complete assemblies using hand and power tools, jigs and fixtures; sets up machines.

  • Assembles wires and makes any necessary repairs.

  • Prepares assembly for painting and touches up marred painted surfaces after assembly.

  • Responsible for correct and neat appearance of wiring and assembly, adjustments, operation, and lubrication of all assemblies.

  • Reads detail and assembly drawings and wiring diagrams and works to specified tolerances.

  • Move and load material and product as necessary.

  • Reports needed maintenance and repairs of machine tools to the supervisor.

  • Prepares daily timecard and reports to supervisor when assembly is complete. 9. Uses hand truck, power truck, or other devices to move equipment, material, etc.

  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining own work area. Maintain equipment and tools.

  • Assist with any on-the-job training requirements and performs other duties of equal or lower classification as directed.

  • Responsible for safe work practices, and proper use of personal protective equipment.

  • Count pieces, report shortages, excesses, spoilage, and malfunctions to the supervisor.

Your Background:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
