LOCATION - Hybrid: Oklahoma City, OK We understand that life happens and strive to make it easier for employees to juggle work, family and life demands so they can define what fulfillment means to them. As part of our investment in our employees, this role is eligible to participate in Tepa's Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week).

ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Senior Fire Protection Professional to support the design efforts for a variety of project types. Primarily working on renovation designs that are tied to the DoD or GSA projects. As the Senior Fire Protection Professional, you will spend the majority of your time working on project designs but will also be involved with design reviews and construction administration (making sure the designs are installed correctly).

Job Functions:

  • Provide technical input regarding the estimation, planning, design, construction and surveillance of fire protection and life safety systems.
  • Evaluates, plans, and specifies fire suppression water supplies and fire extinguishing systems.
  • Evaluates, plans, and specifies special hazard suppression systems.
  • Evaluates, plans, and specifies fire alarm and mass notification systems.
  • Estimates construction activities and installation for fire protection systems.
  • Performs fire hydrant flow tests.
  • Performs code analysis for life safety and fire protection systems.
  • Conducts acceptance testing of fire protection systems.
  • Creates detailed automatic fire sprinkler systems drawings.
  • Creates detailed fire pump layout drawings.
  • Performs hydraulic calculations for automatic fire protection systems.
  • Performs building code and life safety analysis.
  • Evaluates and plan fire alarm and mass notification systems.
  • Performs peer reviews of systems designs and specifications.
  • Participates in project meetings with clients and other professionals.
  • Travel to Client locations as needed.
  • Efficiently Utilize AutoCAD, REVIT, and Microsoft Office Suite of Products.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or similar from Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology accredited college or university and ten (10 years) of Fire Protection design experience, OR minimum of twenty-five (25) years' of Fire Protection design experience
  • Fire Protection Certifications
  • AutoCAD/Revit design experience
  • Capability of working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
